Even saw a summer ray caught in the surf, which is early. The pier is seeing some decent flounder action. Check out the boys in the Lighthouse View Bait and Tackle shop there for the daily reports. WebApr 22, 2024 · Osprey fishing at the Cape Henlopen Fishing Pier White perch action is still good in all the waterways, but it slowed down a bit. Grass shrimp, minnows, or bloodworms are the best baits. Some short striped bass mixed in with the perch as usual. Since anglers are targeting perch the circle hook regulation for striped bass isn’t an issue.

Clean beach great facilities, like free showers and clean bathrooms, and places to wash the sand off your feet. For out of state residents the fee is $10. A yearly pass is available. There is a snack bar available. Life guards keep a good watch over behaviors.

If you are crabbing from a pier and using nets or traps, use non slip latex gloves they are great for pulling the ropes without hurting your hands, you can find them in Home Depot for about $3 they work like magic.
