WebJul 2, 2015 · I took Alendronic Acid for 6 months and stopped 5 months ago. Side effects developed gradually. Dodgy tummy, acid reflux, sleep problems and hair loss. I decided to stop for a few months following my retirement as I was going travelling for 3 months. All the side effects have calmed down and I feel so much better.
