WebI've used the "birthing" method a few times, and I think if you don't use the same type of fabric front & back you may have problems with stretching. Flannel tends to be stretchy, and fleece is super stretchy, and quilting cottons are usually pretty stable. You could try cutting the backing a little smaller than the top. Donna
